In life there are many beginnings. Birth, first steps, driving a car, first kiss and even death are just a few beginnings.

In your spiritual journey it's important to get off on the right foot. The first thing to do is find a local congregation who teaches the Bible and helps you understand the basics of Christianity.

The second step is to get a Bible. This is one of the most important purchases you can make. It is important to choose a version that is understandable as well as accurate. While there are many great versions out there, we recommend the New Internaional Version or the New Living Translation. We also recommend that your first Bible be a Student Bible. As you get stronger in your faith it will be wise to get another Bible that has more helps such as a study Bible. Now that you have a Bible it's best to start reading it! Kind of goes without saying but it is amazing how many people own a Bible but never read it. Your Bible is God's love letter to you! He communicates through its pages and helps you grow in your understanding of who He is as well as knowing who you were meant to be.

The third step is to commit to a Small Group. These groups are desined to help you get your questions answered and help you to get a Biblical world view. They are designed to help you make friends who will encourage you in your faith and help you to get connected.
